I used to be the person who could never imagine enjoying running, especially on top of a bad case of shin splints but Geraldine’s training plans helped me slowly train away the pain as well as run distances I didn’t think I would ever run. She made sure my running plan fit in with my school and exam periods and understood that some days I just wasn’t as motivated as others. In January 2023, I set myself the goal of running my first marathon. Up until then, I had only been running 4 km twice a week. I reached out to Geraldine for guidance, and from the very beginning she was both supportive and encouraging, while remaining realistic in her coaching approach. She created a training plan to fit my life and my needs.
Throughout the process, Geraldine excelled at adjusting and supporting my training with a balance of compassion, ambition, and realism. She helped me manage any pain or setbacks, offered excellent advice on technique, and answered every one of my many questions with patience and expertise. After completing a few marathons, I decided to explore ultra running. Geraldine guided me through the transition, sharing valuable insights on how it differs from marathon training and how best to prepare for it. We trained together on several runs where she consistently shared practical advice—on fueling, efficient step length, minimizing effort, and even the technique of running downhill.
Geraldine suggested my first ultra trail run and supported me in planning and approaching it with confidence. She is not only deeply knowledgeable about running but also highly empathetic and adaptable, always tailoring the plan to reality. Thanks to Geraldine, I have built a sustainable running practice that brings me joy and continues to help me grow as a runner.
